Tristar provided a complete inspection and oversight team overseeing all aspects of this $67M re-construction of I-17 project.  The Tristar team served on behalf of ADOT for the widening of the existing divided highway.  This project included two new purpose lanes of traffic with auxiliary lanes, multiple bridges, multiple concrete reinforced drainage boxes, drainage channel, drainage basins, traffic signals, signing and striping and freeway lighting.  The project also included AC, PCCP pavement and 1” AR-ACFC overlay.  In addition the project also required extensive coordination with the City of Phoenix, the Deer Valley Field Office, and Phoenix Construction Public Relations. Tristar's team included a Resident Engineer, multiple project supervisors and inspectors, office staff, lab technicians, and surveyors. In addition, the Tristar team was also responsible for keeping the Phoenix Construction District and ADOT's Traffic Operations Center updated with the work status and upcoming traffic restrictions.
